Ange’s Pre-Fulham Press Conference

Ange’s Pre-Fulham Press Conference

In the lead-up to the much-anticipated clash against Fulham, Ange took to the press room to address a myriad of questions, ranging from player performances to the importance of domestic cups. Here’s a detailed breakdown of the press conference, capturing the essence of Ange’s thoughts and the questions posed by the media.

On Gio Lo Celso and Selections:

Question: “He’s been a bit unlucky, and I thought he did well when he came on for us today. What are your thoughts?”

Ange: “As I said yesterday, he’s been a bit unlucky. I thought all the subs did really well just to help us control the game. We’ve got a game Tuesday night, he’ll play Tuesday night. There’ll be plenty going on for sure, but I’m just dealing with what’s in front of me.”

Question: “Why are we facing such tough draws?”

Ange: “I’ve had great luck with draws in my whole career, to be fair. I kind of expect them to be challenging ones, but that’s alright. It’s a good challenge for us. We’ve got to go there and win, and that’s what we’re trying to do.”

Question: “A lot of fans were hoping that Tommy and Donley might come back. He’d given up a knock in the opening training session in Australia. What does his future hold?”

Ange: “Tommy’s in the boat with a few other guys. We’ve got five or six players more than we can name on a list. These things come down to decisions that people make. He’s still training, working hard. The midfield area is going really well at the moment. It’s pretty competitive, but I expect a lot of these things to get resolved this week.”

Question: “Is it best to keep [a player] in the team to apply himself? We’ll keep asking questions about it until he starts scoring.”

Ange: “I pick teams that I think are going to win games. If I think he’s going to help us win a game of football, I’ll put him in there. My philosophy revolves around the team ethos. I’ll put Richie in a team because I think we can win the game with him in the team, not because I’m trying to get him to a certain space.”

On the Importance of Domestic Cups:

Question: “What’s your record when it comes to the domestic cups? In recent seasons, it’s felt like the domestic cup has lost its value. Will you make that aware to the players?”

Ange: “I love winning. I don’t care what it is. The players know that. We’ve got a game on Tuesday that I want to win. I don’t care if it’s a cup competition or whatever it is. We just go out there and try and win because I love winning.”

Ange’s passion for the game and his commitment to winning were evident throughout the press conference. As the team prepares for the upcoming clash against Fulham, it’s clear that Ange’s focus remains unwavering: to secure a win, regardless of the competition or circumstances.

Stay tuned for more updates as the season unfolds, and as always, keep the passion for the beautiful game alive!
