Bayern Prepares to Smash Transfer Record for Kane as Spurs Seek Replacements

The tale of Harry Kane’s future at Tottenham Hotspur took another twist today, with numerous reports emerging that Bayern Munich is ready to break its transfer record to secure the England captain.

Bayern officials indicated during a lunch meeting in London with Daniel Levy, Tottenham’s Chairman, that they are prepared to bid up to £85m for Kane. However, Tottenham is holding out for an offer of about £100m, according to Gary Jacob of The Times.

Despite the significant gulf in valuation, Bayern is planning to present a new offer, potentially closer to a €100m package for Kane, according to Fabrizio Romano. They are encouraging Kane to apply pressure on Tottenham to further the negotiations.

Sami Mokbel of the Daily Mail adds that, while Levy wants at least £100m for Harry Kane, an offer in the region of £90m might be enough to sway him. As for Kane, Dan KP of The Telegraph reports that he plans to stay at Spurs if no agreement is reached with Bayern or any other club before the opening game of the season.

While the discussions with Bayern continue, Tottenham is busy exploring forward options to potentially replace Kane. Among the names mentioned are Bayern’s Mathys Tel and Genk’s Gift Orban. However, it’s understood that Tel is not particularly keen on a move.

In other transfer news, Tottenham may see defender Sergio Reguilón leave for Real Sociedad. According to Dario AS, the two clubs have resumed contact, and there are promising signs for the deal’s completion before the summer transfer window closes.

Additionally, Tottenham’s young duo Alfie Devine and Dane Scarlett are being considered for loan moves to enhance their development, as reported by George Sessions.

The coming days are set to be crucial as Tottenham Hotspur potentially reshapes its squad for the 2023-24 campaign. Stay tuned for more updates.
