Rodrigo Bentancur is on the mend and expected to be back in action in the next 3-4 weeks. However, as any football aficionado knows, being fit and being match-fit are two different ball games. The real test for Bentancur will be when he’s back on the pitch, kicking the ball and navigating the challenges of contact training.
Sonny Speaks Out on Injuries
Son Heung-min, affectionately known as Sonny, sheds light on his injury situation, “It’s nothing compared to last year. It’s getting better every day.” He emphasizes the importance of not pushing oneself too hard, especially during recovery. Sonny reassures fans, “I hope you guys don’t worry too much, I will take good control [of my body] to play in games.”
Sonny’s Unexpected Captaincy Moment
Recalling a particular day, Sonny shares a light-hearted moment about his captaincy, “The way [the manager] was glancing at me was unusual.” Caught off guard, he admits, “I felt so nervous all of a sudden trying to say something [in front of the group]. I think I stood there just clapping about twenty times, [taken by surprise].”
Harry Kane: Forever a Spur at Heart
Despite his move to Bayern Munich, Harry Kane’s love for Tottenham remains unwavering. “I have made it clear my whole career I am a Tottenham fan and I would love to see Tottenham do well,” he states. Kane praises the current management and the fans’ unwavering support, reflecting on the positive changes at the club.
However, he also emphasizes his commitment to his current team, Bayern Munich, “I have to be respectful to Bayern Munich… the fans know I will always have a soft spot for Spurs. There is no question about that – but I have got to put all my attention on Bayern Munich and to make us as successful as possible.”
