Tottenham Transfer Round-Up: Kudus Push, Romero Bid, Bissouma Exit & Young Talent on the Rise

Tottenham Hotspur’s summer window is heating up, with multiple high-stakes negotiations underway. While the club eyes major reinforcements like Mohammed Kudus, Orkun Kokcu and Jacob Ramsey, others could be on their way out – including Yves Bissouma and even World Cup winner Cristian Romero. Meanwhile, talks continue to secure the future of one of the club’s brightest young talents, Josh Keeley.

🎯 KUDUS PRIORITY – SPURS PRESSING HARD FOR BREAKTHROUGH

Tottenham are refusing to give up in their pursuit of Mohammed Kudus, despite seeing their third bid rejected by West Ham United. According to Graeme Bailey, Spurs tabled a package worth over £60 million, comprised of £50 million upfront and £12.5 million in add-ons.

But West Ham dismissed the proposal, reportedly unhappy that the bonus clauses only activate if Spurs win the Premier League or Champions League – milestones they view as unrealistic short-term.

Despite interest from Bayern Munich, Kudus has made it clear he only wants Tottenham, per reports from Bailey and Ex-West Ham Employee. The Ghanaian has informed the Hammers he is solely focused on securing a move to North London. West Ham now expect Spurs to return with a revised bid – this time with straight cash closer to their £60M valuation.

A deal appears inevitable. Kudus is Thomas Frank’s top target, and the player’s commitment to the move could force West Ham’s hand soon.

💣 ROMERO OFFER TESTS SPURS’ RESOLVE

In a more unsettling development for Spurs fans, Atlético Madrid have launched a €70 million bid for defensive lynchpin Cristian “Cuti” Romero, as per AS.

The offer includes €55 million upfront with a further €15 million in performance-related bonuses. While there is no indication that Spurs are ready to accept the offer, the size of the bid may give Daniel Levy something to think about – particularly if the funds could be reinvested into Kudus, Ramsey, or Kokcu.

Romero, a leader at the back and a fan favourite, remains crucial to Spurs’ ambitions. Losing him now would demand a major defensive reinforcement.

🧹 BISSOUMA OUT – SPURS OPEN EXIT DOOR

Tottenham are prepared to sell Yves Bissouma this summer, with Graeme Bailey reporting the player’s representatives have been instructed to find a new club.

The Mali international showed flashes of quality but struggled for consistency during his time in N17. With midfield reinforcements being lined up, Bissouma’s departure could free up funds and space in the squad.

🧠 ORKUN KOKCU – SMART MIDFIELD OPTION?

One of the midfielders being monitored as a Bissouma replacement is Benfica’s Orkun Kokcu, per Caught Offside. The Turkish international is seeking an exit following a falling out with manager Bruno Lage, and is expected to skip Benfica’s pre-season return on July 14.

Valued at around £35 million (€40 million), Kokcu is admired by four clubs, including Spurs. With solid technical quality and leadership experience from Feyenoord, he’d be a low-risk option for the midfield rebuild.

🚨 RAMSEY ON THE RADAR – FRANK’S CHOICE

Another top target in midfield is Jacob Ramsey. According to Football Insider, Spurs have already held talks with his agent, and manager Thomas Frank is a big admirer.

Ramsey’s blend of energy, ball-carrying, and end-product makes him a perfect profile for Frank’s aggressive system. Spurs are actively working on a deal, potentially in addition to Kudus, not instead.

🧤 JOSH KEELEY – NEW DEAL & LOAN DEMAND

In terms of future planning, Spurs are in contract talks with Josh Keeley, the talented young goalkeeper who spent last season on loan at Leyton Orient.

As per Alasdair Gold, clubs in both the Championship and League One are circling – some hoping for a loan, others pushing for a permanent transfer. However, Spurs view Keeley as a long-term project and are keen to tie him down to a new deal before deciding his next steps.
