Three years ago, Manchester City received a 2 year ban from the European Champions League, yet on appeal, this was overturned because “Most of the alleged breaches were either not established or time-barred.” In other words, there was a statute of limitations on City’s crimes, but for Spurs, with what seems like a minor infraction in comparison to City, are potentially facing severe penalties.
